An Exploration into the Prices of Well Salt in Du Fu's Poem "The Salt Well"

The two prices of the well salt in Tang Dynasty pointed out in Du Fu's poem "The Salt Well" are credible when consider from the following two parts: the difficulties in producing well salt and the price's skyrocketing during the period of Suzong Zhide in Tang Dynasty. Many numbers in other poems reflecting the society and politics written by Du Fu accorded with the history, which could be considered as the collateral evidence.
