英语口语测试任务信度的实证研究

摘    要:根据语言测试理论,本文将口语测试任务的信度细化为喜欢度、紧张度、难度、准确度和一致性5个指标,并通过实证研究,在非英语专业硕士研究生中测量了11种常见的口语测试任务的信度差异。研究证明各任务的得分与学生的喜欢度、自我评估的准确性和一致性呈显著相关,而与任务的难度和执行任务的紧张度不相关;教师给分与学生自我评估信度显著相关,而机考和面试两种形式测试任务间的信度没有显著差异。本研究可为完善口语测试任务设计及推动英语口语教学的改革提供有统计数字支持的依据。

Abstract:Based on oral English testing theory,the present study subcategorizes the reliability of oral English tasks into 5 indicators of preference,tension,difficulty,self-evaluation accuracy and consistency,takes the non-English major postgraduate students as subjects and employs the empirical research method to measure the reliability of the 11 most comment oral English tasks.The findings prove high correlation between the tasks and students’ preference,self-evaluation accuracy and consistency,and between the marks given by teachers and the students’ self-evaluation reliability.There proves to be no significant difference between the marks and the difficulty of the tasks or the tension of the students,or between the oral interview tests and computer-based oral tests.The present may help improve the design of tasks and promote oral English teaching.
