| 摘 要： | 孟子的民本思想突出了政治实践中民心向背的作用，是其仁政学说的核心内容。民本思想和民主思想虽然都强调人民的重要性，但二者存在本质的区别。孟子的民本思想是君主本位的，认为封建君主只有以民为本，重视人民的作用才能保住天下，这与当代民主倡导的人人权利、地位平等、主权在民等思想是存在差异的。
