THE COUNTRY FOLK LOOKS AT THE WORLD——ON SHEN CONGWEN'S VIEW OF WOMEN AND HIS CREATIVITY

Based on an analysis of different feminine images and the artistic attitude of Shen Congwen in his works,this paper points out the writer to the complexity in his attitude to and cognition of feminine characters.A distinct process of integration and disintegration is characteristic of his works.In the later period of his creation,Shen attempted to solve the contradiction and difference,thus caused the metropolis and the village to acquire some intrinsic unity.
