| 摘 要： | 中国古代逻辑思想没有进入演绎系统的阶段，究其原因，在很大程度上在于没有应用变元并发展出变元的概念。中国古代数学未能走出实用的领域，没有演绎系统化，因而未能走向理论的深度，原因类同。很难想像，在缺乏变元的情况下，数学会有当今的成就，逻辑学也不可能成为一门基础理论。
