南京大屠杀期间留京西方侨民救济难民活动

南京大屠杀期间留京的西方侨民虽然只有20余位,但他们却以中立国人的身份,本着对难民的强烈同情和人道主义责任感,在危险恶劣的环境中,成立南京安全区,自愿承担起保护和救济难民的任务。虽然安全区里并不安全,但安全区的建立及20余位西方人士保护和救济难民的努力,使苦难中的难民看到了生的希望。

The Chinese Refugees Relief Activities by the Westerners During the Nanjing Massacre Period

During the Nanjing Massacre,there were only more than twenty westerners staying in Nanjing.With strong sympathism and responsibility,these westerners volunteered to set up the safety zone to protect and relieve Chinese refugees as the citizens of neutral nations.Although it was not really safe in the safety zone,refugees in difficulty could find some hope of living with the relief activities of these foreigners.
