| Abstract: | the article expounds the difficult course in which Machiavelli reformed the army as well as the strong and weak points of mercenary troope and self-defence corps. It also proves in theory and practice that Machiavelli was the pioneer in the establishment of mordern self-defence corps in the western history. |
