| Abstract: | Both hypotaxis and parataxis are recognizable text strategies in English as well as in Chinese, but English lays particular emphasis on hypotaxis while Chinese on parataxis. To some extent, Business English gives prominence to hypotaxis. Study on the comparison of hypotaxis and parataxls between the two languages will help us a lot in learning and translating Business English. |
