摘    要:英语专业基础阶段泛读的目的和要求决定了泛读课堂教学的作用和意义不在于读了多少篇文章 ,而在于指导和训练学生如何正确理解词义和培养学生分析句与句、段与段之间关系的能力 ,本文就此问题作些探讨

Abstract:The purpose and requirements of extensive reading for English majour students at their initial stage are not the reading length but the training of students' analysing ability. The writer discussed the methods of how to instruct students to understand rightly the meaning of vocabulary and read between lines and paragraphs.
