现代性的自我确证与批判理论的规范基础

“现代性与后现代性之争”无疑是近二十多年来西方思想界的一个热门话题。现代性的“哲学话语”,指的是把西方现代社会历史以“现代性”为中心概念加以主题化的反思批判。所谓哲学探究,对现代性而言,即是“自我理解”、“自我确证”的问题,为现代性确立既不同于古典也不同于神学的规范。哈贝马斯对现代性规范根基的建设性重建,值得我们特别注意。

Self-Verification of Modernity and the Basis of Criteria in Critical Theories

"The contention of modernity and post-modernity" has been undoubtedly a heated topic in the Western ideological circle in more than 20 years.The "philosophical discourse" in modernity refers to the reflective criticism centered on the concept of "modernity" in modern Western society and history.As to modernity,the so-called philosophical exploration is the issue of "self-understanding" and "self-verification," establishing the criteria for modernity as different from either classical theories or theology.What is worth our special observation is Habermas' constructive reconstruction of the basis of criteria in modernity.
