Five Ways in Literary Language Study in Ancient China

Great achievements about the study of the literary language have been made in the West in the 20th century, and some relative progress have been absorbed in the study of literary language in China in the new period, but some results about it in the ancient China have been ignored. In view with the situation, the paper puts forward that plenty of discussions about the literary language have been made in the ancient Chinese literary theory, and some discussing problems are extensive and deep, while some points are quite inspiring, and indeed constitutes the important resource treasury in recent literary language study, and should been earnestly explored, sorted out and concluded.
