思维方式对英汉长句及句群翻译的影响

语言是思维活动的最直接体现,语言的结构特点是与思维方式的特点相一致的。不同民族的思维方式不同,表达其思维的语子的结构和行文顺序也有很大差异。在翻译的过程中,必须按照译入语民族的思维方式的特点,转换句子结构。本文从英汉思维方式的角度探讨翻译长句及句群时的四种句型转换方法。

The Influence of the Way of Thinking on the Translation of Long Sentences and Sentence Clusters Between English and Chinese

Language is the most direct reflection of the mental activities and the characteristics of the language structure are consistent with those of the way of thinking of the language speaker.The way of thinking differs from nation to nation and thus the sentence structure and sequence that embody the way of thinking also differ much.In translation the transformation of sentence structures must be based on the way of thinking of the target language.The paper discusses four methods of transformation of long sentences and sentence clusters between English and Chinese from the perspective of the way of thinking.
