试论近代白话文运动兴起的原因

一般来讲,研究近代白话文运动,大都要涉及探讨其兴起的原因,但恰恰是这个在白话文运动研究中的一个不可回避的问题,即其兴起的原因,却没有引起应有的重视,绝大数研究者都将白话文运动兴起的原因作为研究该运动的背景来切入,没有专门、详细的论述,因而,语焉不详。近代白话文运动的兴起,与以下因素有着很大的关系：广大仁人志士在民族危机中,试图通过发展语言文化来建设一个全新的国家,以适应近代中国社会由传统向现代的嬗变;科举制度的废除,士人阶层的瓦解,近代知识分子的形成;以及文言文的滞后性阻碍了社会的发展和进步。

On the Reasons for the Rise of Modern Vernacular Movement

Generally speaking,studying on modern vernacular movement,a large study should be related to the reasons for its rise,but it is precisely to this unavoidable problem,that were not given sufficient attention.The author explores that the rise of modern vernacular movement has a great relationship to the following factors： the majority of people with lofty ideals of national crisis trying to build a new country through the development of a new language and culture to adapt to modern evolution in Chinese society from the traditional one;the abolition of the imperial examination system,the collapse of the literati class,the formation of modern intellectuals;and classical chinese hinders social development.
