| Abstract: | Based on the ideas of "respect to diversity and tolerance of variety" in the "esolutions of the CPC Central Committee on major issues regarding the building of a harmonious socialist society", the paper takes the angles of the multi-national country and the diversified world and dissertates the significance of the ideas in the conceptions of civilization, nationality and harmony. It also discusses both from theory and practice the ways to build the harmonious society, such as seeking harmony in diversity and seeking unity in variety. |
