Fan Shoukang & General Chinese Philosophical History

Fan Shoukang was a philosopher that achieved mastery through a comprehensive study of the subject. His General Chinese Philosophical History written during 1930s, when he taught in the Department of Philosophy at Wuhan University, is the first works about general Chinese philosophical history guided by Marxism in China. It both upheld to study the history of Chinese philosophy in the view of the concept of historical materialism and thought highly of unearthing the elite that the Chinese philosophical history own has possessed, which left precious enlightenment that is benefit to advance the study of Chinese philosophy.
