Connotations and Functions of International Political Culture

After the Cold War, typical theories like Clash of Civilization and Constructivism have become the leading ones in the study of international political affairs from the aspect of cross--cultural awareness. The concept of culture defined in these theories has different connotations and specific functions comparing to that of the traditional understanding of culture. Culture, including uniform international rules, interna- tional systems and regulations, is the shared knowledge in the interactions among countries concerned. The analysis of these connotations and functions of culture will be of great importance to the developing theories of international political culture.
