百年戏剧三题

Three Topics on the 100 Years' Drama

The tide of video culture of the 20th century has been vigorously colliding with the ecology of literature and art. Some types of the traditional literature and arts are severely threatened. The drama of the 20th century has been struggling for its existence and development. The theatrical circles have probed the problems in the 3 following fields: Firstly, they have renewed their knowledge of theatrical characteristics and have strengthened them that drama has stabilized now; Secondly, they have renewed their knowledge of the relations between inheritance and development. The development of drama must be based on critical inheritance of the tradition; Thirdly, emphasis has been put on studying of the relation of theatre and audience. It is clear that audience are the Destinies of theatre. The break through of knowledge and the new creations had not only kept theatre alive, but promoted its development.
