Abstract: | The paper provides an overview of a symposium concerning life satisfaction and welfare economics. It provides a brief summary of the papers contained within the symposium and identifies four kinds of issues that arise from, and are addressed by, the burgeoning work on happiness and capabilities approaches to welfare economics. |
