The Consciousness of Redemption in Jaspers' Philosophy of History

Karl Jaspers liberates History from the epistemological area. He claims that the general idea of history should be based on transcendental suppositions. The theory of the Axial Age is an insight resulted from bringing facts into transcendental scheme. He broadens the way for the spirit of open Reason and makes efforts to bridge the Reason and the Faith. He holds that the ultimate object of history is the Unity of Human beings, and this is a task that will never be fulfilled. Human beings ought to take on the heavy responsibility of self-redemption.
