17世纪30至70年代,和硕特游牧地北边从亚梅什湖一带沿额尔齐斯河流域往南到斋桑泊南岸,直到塔尔巴哈台山北麓;从塔尔巴哈台山南经额敏河下游、阿拉湖、伊犁河上游,南至伊塞克湖,西南塔拉斯河上中游,从这里北经楚河中游到巴尔喀什湖,包括巴尔喀什湖东边的广阔地域。

A Research of the Nomadic Areas of Weilate Tribe in the 17th Century

Between 1630s and 1670s,the nomadic areas of Heshuote extended from Lake Yameishi along Erqisi river to the south bank of Zhaisang Pond,which formed its northern frontier;it stretched from the south of Mountain Taerbaha along the downstream of River Emin,via Lake Ala,upstream River Yili,Lake Yisaike to up-and mid-stream River Talasi,whereby it turned north to cover the area between the midstream River Chu and the vast expanse of east Lake Baekashi.
