工业革命之后,世界经济以前所未有的速度迅猛发展,但人类在获得巨大的物质文明的同时,也付出了惨重的代价———对环境的巨大破坏。当人们回过头来反思时,人类赖以生存的地球已是伤痕累累。此时,人类才开始意识到经济发展和环境保护二者之间是紧密联系不可分开的。如何采取措施来规范和引导经济朝着一个正确而长远的方向健康发展,实现人类造物与环境的和谐共处,已是摆在人们面前的一个重大而紧迫的课题。

Ponderations on Industrial Design and Environment Protection

After the industrial revolution the world economy developed rapidly at an unprecedented speed. But human beings paid a disastrous price - a great damage to the environment, while they acquired the great material civilization. When people turned back to repent their errors, the earth on which human beings rely for existence had become a wounded body with one thousand boils and a hundred holes. It was then and only then humans began to realize that economic development is closely connected with environment protection, and both cannot be separated. How to take measures to standardize and guide economy and make it develop in a correct and long term direction so as to realize the harmonious coexistence of man-made objects and the environment is already an important and urgent task in front of people.
