在调查基础上 ,重新评估复合动词的数量和使用现状 ,进一步研究了词的理据 ,认为 :复合动词的语义逻辑含义为简缩性标记语 ;主要语用修辞功能是简炼与强调 ;主要合成方式则是“显性简缩式”的缩造法和“隐性简缩式”的转换法。文章最后预测 ,复合动词在新世纪将有大发展。

Re-examination of Compound Verbs and Their Motivations

This article, based on linguistic investigations and analysis, attempts to show that compound verbs are characterized by abstracted markedness in semantic and logical implications, precision and emphasis in pragmatic and rhetorical functions, and the explicitly formed shortening and implicitly extracted conversions in the word formation. Finally, it predicts how compound verbs will develop in the new century.
