“尊孔读经”与道德的自觉──和大学生谈《论语》

本文分为两部分。第一部分就当代青年与大学生存在的道德素质问题,探讨了以《论语》为代表的中国经典文化的教育作用;并从中西文化交往史的角度,进一步论证了中国文化价值难以得到显发和逐渐式微的原因。第二部分以《论语》为材料,梳理了孔子“仁学”道德体系的内容,着重探讨了孔子以人心作为道德根源的思想,从而赋予道德以一种普遍永恒的根据,为人类文化的建设所作出的巨大贡献。

Honour Confucius and Study His Canon-One of the ways for University Students to Attain Ethic Perfection

In view of the fact that there exist ethic problems in the makings of university students and other youngsters, this paper in the first place examines educational functions of Confucius's The Analects repressntative of classical Chinese culture and goes on to demonstrate, from the angle of cultural exchange between China and the West, the reason why Chinese cultural value cannot make way but rather lose momentum. In the second place the paper systematizes Confucian ethics of "benevolence" as expressed in The Analects, with emphasis on the investigation of his idea of placing the human mind as the source of ethics to lay' a universal and eternal foundation for ethics-an event which has contributed much to human culture.
