赣水、赣县名称源流考

江西别称为"赣",因赣水纵贯全省而名,而赣水、赣县名称源流在古代文献中复杂歧出。从赣字的形、音、义三方面对其来源进行考察,并辅证于史籍、方志等诸多文献,可以得出赣水之"赣"是假借表"赐予"义之"■"为之。后"■"字形体俗讹成"赣",并非来源于"贑"。从文献学及地名命名规律也可论证赣水名称先于赣县。
