“元语言”观念考察及其对文艺阐释活动的价值

西方现代逻辑学、语言哲学从形式语义学角度对"元语言"所进行的论证,主要服务于命题语义逻辑结构的分析及语义真值条件的研究。符号学从人类整个符号系统之符号意义解释的层面对"元语言"所进行的符号解释学论证,更具系统性、普适性。现代语言学、文艺学、翻译学、计算机科学、教育学等学科,主要是借用"元语言"观念与"元意识"进行具体操作。"元语言"观念内含"元意识",又不完全等值于"元意识",它们对于文艺阐释活动的"元追问",具有重大价值。

The Concept of Meta-language and Its Value to Literary Interpretation

Modern western logic and language philosophy have dealt with meta-language from the perspective of formal semantics,which serves only the analysis of semantic logical structure of proposition and studies on semantic truth value.A semiotic approach to meta-language is therefore more systematic and universal owing to its interpretation of the semiotic meaning of whole human sign system.In the fields of modern linguistics,literary criticism,translation studies,computer science,and education,many studies operate on the conceptions of meta-language and meta-consciousness.The conception of meta-language includes that of meta-consciousness,but the former is not fully equivalent to the latter.Both are of great value to meta-interrogation of literary interpretation.
