The Possibilities and the Limit of Moral Philosophy

Moral philosophy works in clarifying moral concepts and sentence,but is it able to provide solid argumentation or ground for moral principles? This paper begins with an examination of Bernard Williams' suspicion,and carries on to discuss the limit and possibility of moral philosophy with a case study.It argues that moral philosophy can perform its function not only in the justification and foundation of moral principle and norms,but also in exploring original drive and fundamental power.However,it indeed has limitation in moral practice.
