论杨增新的民族与宗教认识

摘    要:杨增新对新疆民族问题的认识,一方面既受到近代民族平等观念的影响,强调民族平等;一方面又深受政治官僚身份和现实的左右,而以利用为目的。在宗教认识上,他对中国传统的多元化宗教信仰而导致的信仰空泛化持否定态度。主张将“祀天”与“尊孔”相结合,认为这样能达到维系社会道德、稳定社会秩序的目的。杨增新的民族与宗教思想,是以现实政治为出发点,为统治者服务的。杨增新的“祀天尊孔”论,为当时孔教之争影响范围的一次横向扩展,是民国以来关于孔子是否为宗教之争论的组成部分。

Abstract:Yang Zenxin's views on ethnological problem of Xinjiang province was influenced by the idea of ethnological equality and deeply limited by the political and bureaucratic status, so his intention was utility. As to religion, he denied the vague and general religious belief which was resulted from traditional Chinese plural religions. He advocated the combination of "offering sacrifices to the sky" and "worshiping Confucius". The basic points of Yang Zenxin's ethnological and religious ideas were realistic politics, and those ideas served rulers. Yang Zenxin's theory contribute to the spreading of the dispute over Confucianism. This theory was one part of the dispute over whether Confucianism is religion or not from Republic of China.
