A Study of the Similarities and Differences between Arishima Takeo and Tolstoy

Arishima Takeo and Lev Tolstoy,from different countries and different age_one from Japan,and the other from Russia,shared some similarities but also many differences.Lev Tolstoy wrote many great works in his life including the famous War and Peace,Anna Karenina and Resurrection.People all over the world have been studying his life,his works and his thoughts.Arishima Takeo,an artist and writer,born in Tokyo,firstborn son of a bureaucrat of Okura Sho,dropped out of high school of Gakushuin before he began to study agronomy in Sapporo.In the prime of his life,Arishima Takeo started to write due to the death of his father and his wife and ended up in suicide in his middle age.As an important member of Shirakabaha School in Japan,he had more than twenty immortal books such as A Woman,The Descendant of Cain.He is a monument to the novels in the Taisho time.The fact shows that although Arishima Takeo and Lev Tolstoy live in different countries,they are well-known all over the world which proves that they are both well-known writers in literary world.
