Mission of the Overture in Opera Rigoletto——a Study on the Music Subject of Rigoletto

Since the romantic opera formed,the overture of an opera has a relatively integrative and independent sturcture.It has the function of predicting the style of oprea,revealing the music subject,suggesting the image of characters and indicating the plot of the oprea.As the distinguished representative of this period,Will has a high artistic achievement in this field.This paper analyzes the two layers about the music structure and the artistic emotion in the overture of the opera Rigoletto,reveals the essential characteristics of music subject "curve" embodied in the overture of Rigoletto and at last discovers the artistic charm of the subject guiding the whole opera from such a small angle.
