| Abstract: | In the 1930s, Li Liewen, editor of Free Talking of Shenbao Daily, together with a lot of progressive intellectuals, called on people to pay more attention to social issues and criticism, humanistic care, enlargement of outlook upon the world and construction of metropolitan culture. He was the representative of modern intellectuals with historical responsibility and cultural awareness. |
