| Abstract: | The author holds that the artistic career of the Song Dynasty poet Su Shi is irrevocably associated with the drinking of alcoholic beverage, his pursuit of the "delights in spirit", namely, sensual delight, emotional delight and intellectual delight, has produced ultimate satisfaction for both his own poetical creation and China's alcohol beverage culture, and in so doing has set an example for later intelligentsia at times of predicament. |
