Social Work, the Driving Force of Constructing a Harmonious Society

Social work, distinguishing from other social activities, has its unique values and methodology. Its value orientation includes the value concept, practical principles and standards, and the theoretical foundation of social workers. Social work balances the virtuous demand of individual and community, provides the opportunity of discourse power for the vulnerable groups and builds a bridge among individual, household, community, government and social organization. To maimtain the harmony of society, and constitute a powerful social working staff, we need the governments' support, the high-speeding development of the social work education, establishing and perfecting the the qualification systems of the social work, occupational identification, and expanding cooperation with the social partners.
