卡西尔《人论》关于人的本质的认识

人是社会的主题,对人的研究是哲学的主要任务之一,对人的问题的关怀也是哲学家不可回避的责任,哲学家们对“人是什么”的问题进行了深刻思考,也给出了很多回答,但这些回答几乎都是从静态角度加以界定的,都把人的本质作为一种想象中的实体。卡西尔则对人的本质加以动态界定,提出人是符号的动物,人是文化的动物,人的本质在于其功能性,在于人能够利用符号创造文化,从而给我们认识人及人类社会提供了一个全新的思维视角。

Carssier's Analyses of the Nature of Man in An Essay on Man

Since man is the subject of the society,the research on man has become a main task of philosophy,and solicitudes for human have turned into the responsibility which the philosopher cannot avoid.Pondering on the nature of man,many philosophers have provided various answers.But nearly all of them are static answers which regard human nature as imagined entity.However,Carssier breaks the common rule and defines human nature in a dynamic way.He proposes that man is an animal of symbol and culture.He believes the nature of man lies in its function with which man can create culture.So Carssier offers us a whole new way,through which we get to know human and society.
