| Abstract: | Starting with comparing A Tale of A Golden Donkey,an ancient Roman novel,with Landlady Sanniangzi of Banqiao,a short story of the Chinese Tang dynasty,the means of Parent Subject and Type Comparison are employed to trace back the evolution and development of the A-man-was-made-into-a-donkey story types.And the different cultural backgrounds between the West and East in which the A-man-was-made-into-a-donkey story types exist are analysed compared. |
