佛山科学技术学院走向现代化的战略选择

佛山科技学院要实施“与国际接轨为特征、适应世界新产业革命潮流、立足地方、服务地方和以人的发展为中心”的超常规、可持续的发展战略。今后十年的发展目标应是：以“上水平、增效益、创特色、求发展”为中心，深化改革，走一条与国际接轨的、超常规的发展道路，逐步把佛山科技学院办成为佛山市和广东省培养坚持社会主义方向，为社会主义建设服务的应用型专门人才，提供科技与信息服务，参与地方决策的综合性本科大学。同时提出实现目标的相应对策。

Foshan University's Strategic Decision on Its Modernization

Foshan University has worked out an unconventional and maintainable strategyfor its development. With the introduction of internationalization as its prominent feature,the major content of the strategy finds expression in adapting the university to the trend ofthe world industry revolution, having the university firmly planted in the locality, servingthe locality, and adopting the development of students themselves as central task. Theaim of the university's development in the coming ten years is that, by concentrating onraising level, improving effect, creating features and striving for progress, the universityis to deepen its reform, take an unconventionally internationalized way of its own, turn itself gradually into a qualified comprehensive university which trains, for Foshan Municipality and the other parts of Guangdong Province as well, internationalized professionalpersonnel adhering to and working for socialism, provides service in science, technologyand information, and takes part in local policy decision. Corresponding measures have alsobeen worked out to attain the desired aim.
