Analysis on Over-estimation of Growth Rate of Gross Output Value at Fixed Price

The reasons for gross output value at fixed price leading to over-estimation of economic growth rate are as follows: current price replacing fixed price cannot play the role of price reduction ; without their fixed price, many new products after base period have to calculated by current price; weights of earlier-year price produce “Gerschenkron”; long-term dynamic growth rate of “comparable price” calculated by exchange coefficients is higher than that by fixed price; and enlarged factors of repeated calculation of gross output value result in over-estimation of growth rate.
