论独立学院英语专业的可持续发展之路

独立学院作为我国高等教育发展的新兴事务,要经历一个漫长的发展过程才能逐步走向成熟,实现其人才培养的办学宗旨。随着独立学院的不断发展,其独立之路日趋成熟。近年来独立学院英语专业的发展面临着严峻的形势,英语专业教育本身过于保守和传统,跟不上时代发展的步伐,培养出来的人才也无法满足就业市场的需求,文章针对目前我国独立学院范围内英语专业存在的问题,对独立学院英语专业毕业生进行问卷调查,了解毕业生和就业市场的需求,探讨在新形势新环境下如何办好独立学院英语专业,培养能熟练掌握英语和专业技能的具有创新和实践能力的应用型专业人才,实现英语专业的可持续发展。

On the sustainable development of English major in independent academy

Abstract: Independent academy being a new development of higher education in China, there is still a long way ahead to realize its objective of cultivation. With the development of independent academy and its increasing maturity, English major faces grim future. Traditionally conservative English teaching can no longer keep pace with the time and the talents cultivated can not satisfy the demands of the job market. Aimed at the existing problems in English major education within the confines of independent academy, the article, based on the research into the graduate students of English major in independent academy, focuses on the sustainable development of English major in independent academy and make a tentative probe into how to cultivate talents with creativity and applied competence to catch up with the development of society.
