图式理论对语篇连贯的解释力

连贯性是语篇生成和理解的基础。以Halliday为代表的系统功能语言学家认为,连贯性的实现依赖于衔接手段的完备,几乎完全忽略认知因素在连贯实现中的作用。本文试图从认知语言学图式理论的角度阐释语篇连贯,认为语篇连贯依赖于语篇接收者激活头脑中的图式进行心智加工,心智上的连贯性才是语篇连贯的基础。

On text coherence from the perspective of Schema Theory

Coherence is the basis of text generation and understanding. System-functional linguistics such as Halliday hold that coherence depends on cohesion, with almost no consideration to the function of cognition in coherence. This paper illustrates coherence from the perspective of schema-an important cognitive concept to conclude that text coherence depends more on cognitive coherence achieved by text receivers who activate relative schemata in the process of text understanding.
