钱谦益的文学本质论

摘    要:钱谦益主张“文有本” ,这“本”正谓“灵心”、“学问”、“世运”。他批判前、后七子的剽窃之弊 ,反对竟陵派的“幽深孤峭”。他重视“忠臣志士的性灵” ,提倡“经世致用之学” ,从而强调“文学必反映世运”。他尤其提倡文学“善变”论 ,反对文学拟古主义 ,重视文学随时代的变化。由此言之 ,钱谦益重视文学与时代的关系 ,以试图挽救晚明文学的空疏之弊 ,定立文学所要进的新方向。他上承明代文论而下开清初文论的先河

Abstract:Qian Qian-yi said:"Literature must have its source."This "source" refers to a human being's "disposition", "learning" and "historical background". He criticized the malpractice of plagiary and indulgence in self admiration in the literary circles of his time. He asserted that "literature should be the reflection of the times", eulogizing righteous governors and heroic martyrs. He forcefully advocated that literature should keep up with the times rather than follow the beaten track. All this indicates that Qian Qian yi paid much attention to the relation between literature and the times in an attempt to remove shallowness from the late Ming literature, and re orient the advance of literature.
