当代中国工人队伍的新变化

改革开放以来 ,作为工人阶级的主体 ,作为现代化建设事业的基本力量 ,中国工人队伍表现出一系列新的特点 ,呈现出一系列新的变化 ,其中最引人瞩目的变化是其“主人翁”地位和“领导阶级”地位面临严峻挑战。由于中国工人队伍发生了重大变化 ,由于知识分子队伍 (包括干部队伍 )同工人队伍之间事实上已存在很大差别 ,需要重新认识当代中国“工人阶级”的构成 ,不应该继续把知识分子队伍、工人队伍统称为“工人阶级” ,不应该继续沿用“知识分子是工人阶级的一部分”这一已经与实际情况不相吻合的提法 ,而应该把知识分子同工人、农民、个体户等社会阶级和阶层并列 ,视之为一个独立的社会阶层

Changes of Contemporary Chinese Worker Group

Since the Reforms and Opening-up policy was adopted, Chinese worker group, being the main body of the working class and at the same time the main strength in the modernization drive, shows some new features and experiences a series of changes. The social status of workers as "the leading power" and "the leading class" has been challenged. The great changes of worker group and differences between workers and intellectuals call for a new definition for the worker class. It is suggested that intellectuals should be regarded as an independent group instead of a part of the working class and that the old saying that intellectuals are one part of the working class should be abandoned.
