PSTS——科学技术研究的理论进化

从科学技术总论的研究范式来看,科学技术研究大致经历了自然哲学、科学技术哲学、科学技术与社会(STS)等过程.与以上过程相伴随,存在对科学技术加以支持和批判及社会批判的不同技术哲学研究传统及范式,这是一种外在视角的科学技术审视;科学技术的现实复杂性使得外在论无法透视其社会本质,从内在视角审视科学技术发展的STS研究也就应运而生.但是,STS研究缺乏哲学基础,其具有内在的逻辑结构,应该纳入STS哲学的研究范畴,这就是PSTS得以确立的基础.PSTS,是技术哲学与STS研究的有机融合,是一种新的科学技术研究范式.

PSTS: Theoretical Evolution on the Study of Science and Technology

The study on science and technology can be regarded as a paradigm of general theory to explore the essence and nature of science and technology,which,as a whole,went through a process from philosophy of nature,philosophy of science/technology to STS.In the process there were different traditions/paradigms in studying the philosophy of technology,including various supports and critiques even social critiques given to science/technology.However,all of them were extrinsic views which showed no insight into the essence of science/technology because of their actual complexity.So,for this reason,STS emerged to study science/technology development in an intrinsic view.Nevertheless,STS study lacks the philosophical base on which the intrinsically logic structure is indispensable to the philosophical domain of STS study.PSTS,as an organic integration of STS with the philosophy of technology and also a new paradigm for science/technology study,is thus proposed to establish as a new discipline.
