| Abstract: | Being two different types of languages, English and Chinese each have its own expressing characteristics. In older to make a fluent and idiomatic version of these two languages, a comparative study of such characteristics is necessary. In this paper the author tries to conduct a probe into the translation of English and Chinese long sentences through some translation examples and a comparatively rough contrast between the two languages' expressing means. The essay aims to produce some enlightenment among the readers in this field and elicit much more valuable instructions from experts. |
