中尼建交的历史及其意义

尼泊尔是中国在南亚地区的重要陆地邻国,两国人民友好交往的历史源远流长.中华人民共和国成立后,中尼两国在和平共处五项原则的基础上,于1955年8月1日正式建立外交关系,并于1956年9月20日签订了进一步巩固和深化双边关系的《中尼友好条约》.中尼两国外交关系的建立及友好条约的签订,为促进两国政治、经济、文化等方面的交流与合作奠定了坚实的基础,并产生了重大而深远的积极影响.

The History and Significance of the Establishment of DiplomaticTies between China and Nepal

Nepal is one of China’s important Southeast Asia neighbors,and the people of the two countries have a long history of friendly ties.After the establishment of the People’s Republic of China,China and Nepal officially established diplomatic relations on August 1,1955 on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-Existence,and on September 20,1956 they signed the Sino-Nepal Friendship Treaty which further consolidated and strengthened their bilateral relationship.The establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal and the signing of the Friendship Treaty played a far reaching and positive role in promoting economic,political and cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
