| 摘 要： | 美国浪漫主义文学主要描写的是自然景观,借此表达作家对于自然的感受。森林意象之所以在美国浪漫主义时期被作家们所钟爱,归根结底,是由于森林意象在某种程度上暗合了美国当时的社会现实。

| Abstract: | In American Romanticism,meanings of the forest images are different from each other because of personal psychology and social status between writers. The present thesis tries to explain the different meanings of the same forest image and reveal how the differences come about,in the hope that it can help us to be aware of the development of American Romanticism from a special view. |
