| 摘 要： | 标题、书名的翻译是翻译中一个有着特殊困难的方面,其中出现的讹误也比较多,而以文学作品名的翻译尤甚.文章从<中国大百科全书@外国文学卷>和<简明不列颠百科全书>抽出八部英美文学作品名的汉语翻译,从语言和作品内容两方面予以讨论辨析,旨在澄清误译,使两部工具书愈趋完善,并借以唤起译界对这一问题的重视.

| Abstract: | It is difficult to translate titles, especially titles of literary works, into another language, hence mis-translations in this respect are no rare phenomena in present publications. And many of them are too glaring to be left untouched. This essay is an analysis of eight cases of mis-translations of English and American literary works that exist in two greatly influential books:The New Encyclopaedia Britannica (the Chinese Version) and The Encyclopaedia Sinica (the Volumes of Foreign Literature). |
