近代中国译书风潮的转向与学校教材建设

甲午海战以后,由于社会形势的急剧变化,近代中国翻译传播西学潮流发生变化,即由欧美转向日本。随着留日运动的高涨,在日留学生或组建译书汇编社、教科书译辑社、会文学社、国学社等翻译团体或以个人自主的方式,编译了大量日本近代学校教材。留日学生回国后,又参与官办或民营文化出版机构的教材编译工作,适应了清末"新教育"改革对课程教材的需求。留日学生的上述活动,改变了过去由编译英美书籍占统治地位的局面,转而通过日本来学习西方近代文化与科技知识,尤其是翻译日本的学校教材填补了这一时期我国学堂自编教材的不足,直接推动了学校教材编写的历史进程,在中国近代学校教材史上占有一定的历史地位。

On the Tide Turning of Modern Chinese Translation and the Choice of Teaching Materials

After the Sino-Japanese naval war,the tendency of learning the west changed from Eurpoe and America to Japan because of the rapid social change.With the rise of the movement of study to Japan,the students studying in Japan organized translation groups or introduced modern school textbooks from Japan by different means.After returning motherland,they involved in compile textbooks career in the official or private culture press agencies,adapting to the curriculum materials demand of New Education reform of the Qing Dynasty.These above events by the students studying in Japan change the situation to learn western culture and science and technology from Japan.Particularly,the translation of Japanese teaching materials meets China's needs,which advances China's progress in compiling its own teaching materials.
