| Abstract: | Abstract Burnout is frequently looked upon as a private trouble with individual and self-healing solutions. This paper emphasizes burnout as a public issue, and provides a framework for assessment of the human service workplace as it contributes to burnout. It proposes an agenda of social action strategies for changing the conditions that contribute to burnout. |
