名誉本性论

摘    要:人无不具有极为深重的名誉心,因为人是社会动物,每个人的一切利益都是社会和他人给予的名誉攸关每个人最为根本的利害。这样一来,名誉便具有使每个人遵守道德的巨大作用当一个人的行为符合道德规范,便会从社会和他人那里得到荣誉及其所带来的巨大利益,他的极为深重的名誉心便会得到满足而体验到巨大的快乐,从而极有成效地推动他遵守道德;反之,如果他的行为违背道德,那么,他便会从社会和他人那里得到坏名誉、遭受耻辱和舆论谴责及其所造成的巨大利益损失,他的极为深重的名誉心便得不到满足而体验到巨大的痛苦,从而极有成效地阻止他违背道德。

Abstract:Reputation is the nature of human beings. As social animals, people gain interests from society. Reputation has a stake in one’s vital interests, thus having great power in making people abide by morality. When one’s deeds comply with morality, he can get tremendous interests which satisfy his desire for reputation and consequently stimulate his good chain reaction; when his actions are against morality, however, he is reproached by public opinions and accordingly suffers huge losses of interests and reputation, which eventually prevents him from going against morality.
