Crisis of Confucianism Political Socialization in Later Qing Dynasty Teaching of Confucianism Political Value

The political socialization of Confucianism fell into unprecedented crisis in later Qing Dynasty. The central content, political value and moral standard of Confucianism, lost its ration because of challenge from reality. The main enforcing mechanism, education of Confucianism, was replaced by new education. The propelling mechanism, the examination system, was rescinded because of more and more criticism. The suppressing mechanism, prohibiting heresy system, lost potency because of more and more academic from the West poured into China.
