摘    要:文章阐述英语阅读教学的两种课程观——以文为本和以人为本,从理论背景、教学理念和教学方法等方面分析两者的性质、特点以及在教学中的体现,认为这两种课程观的产生有其深远的哲学、文学和语言学等理论根源。在教学中前者把阅读当作知识或技能来教,后者把阅读当作能力培养,且涉及学习者的认知与情感的参与,因而英语阅读教学从以文为本向以人为本转变,体现了该课程从知识形态转为生命形态的变革趋势。

Abstract:This paper describes two approaches to the teaching of English Reading: text-based and reader-based,identifying their theoretical backgrounds,teaching concepts and techniques in teaching practice respectively.Both approaches attribute their constructs to theories in philosophy,literature,linguistics and other areas.The former is characteristic of teaching reading as knowledge and skills while the latter is more concerned with the learner's cognitive and affective involvement.Transformation from a text-based curriculum to a reader-based curriculum in teaching English Reading is advocated.
